For Today

Today...

Outside my window...are carpentar bees drilling holes in our porch railing. (Any solutions to this little problem?)

I am thinking...about all I need to do today.

I am thankful for...my husband and two wonderful sons.

From the kitchen...the dishes are calling me to wash them, but only after I make a chicken casserole to take to a sick friend.

I am wearing...denim shorts and a gray CKU t-shirt.

I am creating...a blog entry (too busy for much else).

I am going...to baseball practice tonight...yet again!

I am reading...the latest issue of ALL YOU and Scrapbook, Etc... magazines. I'm a magazine junkie!

I am hoping...that Jonathan does exceptionally well at baseball practice tonight and is safe. With all the players on the team this year, he needs to do really well to get any play time.

I am hearing... the clock ticking and the refrigerator humming.

Around the house...are gorgeous yellow, white, and lavendar irises, pink azaleas, and beautiful green foliage. Spring is a beautiful time of year here in South Carolina!

One of my favorite things...is going out for ice cream with the family. We need to do that this weekend.

A few plans for the rest of the week: We have baseball practice tonight, a game and pictures tomorrow, then church on Sunday. When will I have a free day at home???

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Hard to believe this was just TWO months ago! (Hey...it's hard to believe this was in SC!)

Quick post

Well, today I have both kids home sick. I took them to the after hours clinic last night. Matthew is now on steroids to try and get his cough/inflammation under control. My 12 year old came home yesterday with a 103 temp. He has a sinus infection. Poor babies! But boy am I ever glad that Ed is due home today! I can hardly wait to see him.
I am motivated to do nothing today, but maybe I'll get up to my scrapbook room later. That sounds good, huh. I plan to watch the clock though. I want to make a yummy dinner for my man.
It is supposed to reach almost 80 degrees here in the next couple of days, and baseball season officially starts around here on Saturday. So keep your fingers crossed that the boys feel like participating! Until next time...have a lovely day.

victory and failure

Woo Hoo! My boy's team won their first game. They beat Williston 13-6! Way to go White Sox! Jonathan played first base, but the other team didn't hit the ball much, so he saw little action there. He batted three times--walked the first time up, struck out the second, and got hit with the ball the third time (and so got on base). He scored two runs. They did a pretty good job! Tonight, Matthew has his first T-ball game. We have a total of 5 games this week! :0

I just talked to my mom on the phone, and she told me she and dad went to Capri's restaurant for their anniversary last night. I think it was their 45th! What a failure I am as a daughter! I usually send a card or at least call, and I completely forgot it was their day! I'll have to think of something nice to do later.

Today would have been my grandmother Bethel's birthday. (Funny I could remember that!) She died 3 years ago, just 2 days prior to Ed's dad. I think she would have been 86 or 87 today had she lived. I miss her.

Well, that's about all I've got today. Hope you all have a blessed day! :)
