For Today

Today...

Outside my window...are carpentar bees drilling holes in our porch railing. (Any solutions to this little problem?)

I am thinking...about all I need to do today.

I am thankful for...my husband and two wonderful sons.

From the kitchen...the dishes are calling me to wash them, but only after I make a chicken casserole to take to a sick friend.

I am wearing...denim shorts and a gray CKU t-shirt.

I am creating...a blog entry (too busy for much else).

I am going...to baseball practice tonight...yet again!

I am reading...the latest issue of ALL YOU and Scrapbook, Etc... magazines. I'm a magazine junkie!

I am hoping...that Jonathan does exceptionally well at baseball practice tonight and is safe. With all the players on the team this year, he needs to do really well to get any play time.

I am hearing... the clock ticking and the refrigerator humming.

Around the house...are gorgeous yellow, white, and lavendar irises, pink azaleas, and beautiful green foliage. Spring is a beautiful time of year here in South Carolina!

One of my favorite things...is going out for ice cream with the family. We need to do that this weekend.

A few plans for the rest of the week: We have baseball practice tonight, a game and pictures tomorrow, then church on Sunday. When will I have a free day at home???

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Hard to believe this was just TWO months ago! (Hey...it's hard to believe this was in SC!)

  1. We're just north of Atlanta - it is hard to believe we had snow too - but it was beautiful! I enjoyed your entry - we have much in common. (Although, my baseball player who kept us at the ball park on many nights is presently serving in Afghanistan. I miss the ballpark!) Blessings!

  2. Thanks for the comment, Tawnda. I really do enjoy the baseball ...just not every night. LOL! :) God Bless your son (?) for serving our country.

  3. Thank you! I'm ready for my "little boy" to be home but am so very proud of what he is doing. (FYI - I never thought these words would come from my mouth - but I actually miss those nights at the ballpark now. It's funny how perspective changes over time.) Enjoy every moment!
